On October 1, 2012, Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. appointed the shareholder of The Kick Law Firm, APC, Taras Kick, to the California Law Revision Commission to assist the California Legislature and Governor by examining California law and recommending needed reforms.  http://gov.ca.gov/news.php?id=17772.  On October 25, 2013, Governor Brown reappointed Taras Kick to this position as a Commissioner on the California Law Revision Commission.  http://gov.ca.gov/news.php?id=18280.  Mr. Kick was the Chairperson of the California Law Revision Commission from September 2015 through September 2016.
